Duke cuts down the nets 

If not for injuries to center Patrick Ngongba II and point guard Caleb Foster, Duke may have won it all last season. This group of Blue Devils is better — deeper, more talented and experienced. There is no weakness, just difference-makers stacked onto one another. Jon Scheyer will use the painful experience of crushing losses the past two years to prepare his team better for March and early April. The impressive preseason, highlighted by a 39-point blowout of Tennessee, was a sneak peak into the Blue Devil machine that will own the sport in 2026-27.
